Named ArcelorMittal Tailored Blanks Detroit, the plant represents the Luxembourg-based company’s first wholly-owned manufacturing operation in Michigan.

While the official grand opening is scheduled for Feb. 26, 85 employees currently work at the facility, with another 40 positions to be added over the next five years, according to a company statement.
