In September this year, the largest metallurgical enterprise in Kazakhstan ArcelorMittal Temirtau maintained its production and shipment volumes in the range of 256,000-260,000 mt of metal products. The company could not increase its shipments because of a railcar shortage. In September, the company shipped 140,000-142,000 mt of hot rolled steel, almost the same as the August level, and about 40,000 mt of cold rolled sheets and coils against 35,000 mt in August.

In the January-September period of the current year, ArcelorMittal Temirtau produced 2.9 million mt of crude steel, up 14 percent year on year. In 2011, the company plans to increase crude steel production by 15.2 percent compared to 2010, to 3.8 million mt.
