ArcelorMittal orders new BF for its Monlevade long steel plant in Brazil

On August 18, Luxembourg-based plantmaker Paul Wurth announced that it has received an order from the world's largest steelmaker ArcelorMittal for the supply of a new blast furnace for its Monlevade long steel plant in Minas Gerais, Brazil.
 
The new blast furnace will allow the Monlevade plant to increase its hot metal production capacity by 1.12 million metric tons per year. The project is scheduled to be completed in May 2012.
