ArcelorMittal has named two Brazilian executives to take on different roles in South America and the US, the company said on Monday.
ArcelorMittal said Erick Torres Bispo dos Santos was named vice president for the company’s flat steel operations in South America.
Jorge Luiz Ribeiro de Oliveira was named CEO AM/NS Calvert, a joint venture (JV) between ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel in Calvert, Alabama.
Santos will replace Oliveira as VP for the company’s flat operations in South America, as the second takes on the CEO role in Alabama.
Santos started his career as a trainee engineer in 2002 and promoted to blast furnace manager in 2007. More recently, in 2016, he assumed a general production manager of steel, slab, coils and product finishing.
Oliveira has been a VP of flats for South America since 2014.
