The Brazilian subsidiary of ArcelorMittal, ArcelorMittal Brazil, has named a new corporate vice president, the company said this week.

Alexandre Barcelos was named the company’s corporate finance VP, replacing Adilson Martinelli, who retired. The appointment of Barcelos follows recent changes in the company’s management in South America.

Recently, the company appointed other new executives: Marcelo Marino Pena Luz as the CEO of Argentina’s Acindar; Waldenir Luciano de Souza Lima as the VP of ArcelorMittal Longs Brazil; and Joao Henrique Palmer Caldeira, the new director of ArcelorMittal’s mill located in the city of Juiz de Fora, in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais.

Barcelos has previously served as the finance director at ArcelorMittal Brazil. He started his career at KPMG and then worked on the accounting, taxes and treasury areas of the company. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a MBA by Fundação Dom Cabral.
