ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih’s crude steel output up 5.7% in Jan-Feb

In the January-February period of the current year, the crude steel production of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Ukrainian subsidiary of global steel giant ArcelorMittal, totaled 966,900 mt, up 5.7 percent year on year, as announced by the company.

In addition, in the first two months of the year ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih registered a 6.7 percent increase year on year in its finished steel output to 848,800 mt, while its pig iron production in the given period moved up by 5.9 percent year on year to 856,400 mt.

Meanwhile, in February alone, crude steel production at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih decreased by 3.9 percent to 518,700 mt, output of finished steel went down by 1.2 percent to 455,600 mt, and production of pig iron declined by 2.8 percent to 461,600 mt, all on year-on-year basis.
