Ukraine’s ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih has indicated a significant downturn in its production results for November this year due to unfavourable business conditions. According to local sources, the company’s finished steel output decreased by 18 percent compared to October this year to 390,000 mt. Crude steel production dropped by 28.5 percent to 350,000 mt, while pig iron production lost 20 percent to 375,000 mt, month on month, SteelOrbis has learned.
Despite the decline seen in November, ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih has improved its results over the first 11 months of the year, with crude steel and pig iron production increasing by 15 percent and 17.4 percent year on year, respectively, to 4.94 million mt and 4.9 million mt. The company’s finished steel output in the given period totalled 4.2 million mt, up 8.8 percent year on year.
