ArcelorMittal Hunedoara, Romania-based subsidiary of the world's largest integrated metals and mining company ArcelorMittal, will in April this year start the construction of its new rolling mill, which is to be completed before the end of next year, ArcelorMittal Hunedoara's general manager Remus Patan has said.
As SteelOrbis previously reported, the investments in the construction of the new rolling mill will amount to €43 million, and are aimed both at providing the necessary semi-finished products for ArcelorMittal's pipe producing facilities in Romania and at increasing the competitiveness of its products at international level.
In addition, on March 26, ArcelorMittal Hunedoara will stop its production for a week in order to install oxygen and carbon injectors at its steelmaking facilities.
