Application criteria for 2007 molybdenum export permits

SteelOrbis Shanghai China's State Bureau of Statistics and General Administration of Customs has announced its application criteria for molybdenum export permits in 2007. The companies which are willing to export molybdenum shall have to abide by the following criteria from now on. There are three main requirements from the exporters: 1. Registration at administrative authorities related with industry and commerce, in conformity with relevant state stipulations; acquisition of the operating qualification for imports and exports or possession of foreign trade dealer registration and records and provision with the qualification of an independent legal person (more than five years). 2. Pass ISO9001 Quality Management System certification. 3. For manufacturing enterprises: as per average annual output and export over the past three years, the total production of ferromolybdenum and molybdenum oxide (equivalent to roasted molybdenum concentrate) shall be larger than 3,000 mt, with exports above 300 mt; roasted molybdenum concentrate (Mo > 51 percent), ferromolybdenum (Mo > 55 percent); molybdate production shall be more than 800 mt with exports above 80 mt; production of molybdenum powders and articles thereof shall be more than 300 mt, with export above 20 mt. For trading enterprises: over the past three years, the average annual exports shall be > 600 mt for roasted molybdenum concentrate and ferromolybdenum, > 150 mt for molybdate, and > 200 mt for molybdenum powders and articles thereof.
