Anyang's finished steel capacity to hit 10 million tons

SteelOrbis Shanghai On 13 March Henan Province-based Anyang Iron and Steel Group completed the installation of a 150-ton converter in the framework of its 1,780 mm hot rolled continuous casting project. The project covers an investment of RMB 3.7 billion ($479 million), and is the key project of the group's three-step development plan. After the launch of project operations expected for the first half of 2007, Anyang Iron and Steel Group will reach a capacity of 10 million tons per year for finished steel products.
