Anti-dumping investigations by Argentina

According to reports, as a result of the discussions initiated by local producer Siderar's application back in September last year, the Argentine government has officially decided to open an investigation on imports of several coated products. The products include galvanized (both cold rolled and hot rolled based) and zinc-aluminium coated steel sheet and coated iron products imported from Korea, South Africa, Russia, Australia, India and Taiwan. It is expected that the investigation cannot be completed in less than a year's time and any duty to be imposed will not be retroactively effective until the preliminary decision date.
