Ansteel supplies 15,000 mt of steel plate for US suspension bridge

Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Angang Steel Group (Ansteel) has announced that it has delivered 10,000 mt of A709G50T3 bridge-building steel plate to Hebei Province-based China Railway Shanhaiguan Bridge Group Co., Ltd, which has won a tender for a bridge deck renovation project for the New York Verrazano-Narrows Bridge, the largest suspension bridge in the US. Ansteel is currently producing a further 5,000 mt of the steel in question for this bridge.

This is the first time Ansteel has produced A709G50T3 bridge-building steel plate, while it is the second time it has exported bridge-building steel to the US after making deliveries for the construction of the Tanana River Bridge.
