Anshan Steel’s net profit to rise by 133-161 percent in 2010

On January 17, Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Anshan Steel Group (Anshan Steel) released its preliminary financial results for 2010.

According to the company's preliminary report, in 2010 Anshan Steel is expected to realize a net profit of RMB 1.7-1.9 billion ($257-287 million), rising by 133-161 percent compared to the previous year.

In August 2010, Anshan Steel Group issued its half-year financial report, which indicated a pre-tax profit of RMB 2.77 billion ($419 million) for the first half of 2010.
