On April 6, Liaoning Province-based Anshan Steel announced its ex-factory product prices for May. The details are as follows:
I. HR coils
a) The April prices remain effective for common carbon products. Thus, the ex-factory price of Q235 3.00 mm is RMB 3,950/mt ($512/mt), while that of 5.5 mm x 1,500 mm is RMB 3,820/mt ($495).
b) Prices of SPHD products increased RMB 50/mt ($6/mt).
c) Prices of SPHE products increased RMB 100/mt ($13/mt).
II. CR coils
The previous prices remain effective for CR coils. As a result, the ex-factory price of ST12 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm is RMB 4,370/mt ($566/mt).
III. Medium plate
The prices of medium plate are unchanged. The ex-factory price of Q235 20 mm is RMB 3,650/mt ($473/mt).
All the above prices exclude 17 percent VAT and are effective as of April 6, 2007.
