Annual inflation rate in Turkey stands at 20.35 percent in January

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in January the consumer price index (CPI) for Turkish industry in general increased by 1.06 percent month on month, while annual inflation reached 20.35 percent.

Among the main product groups, the highest monthly and yearly increases were seen in the food and non-alcohol beverages group, with a rise of 6.43 percent on month-on-month basis and an increase of 30.97 percent on year-on-year basis.
