Annual inflation rate in Turkey stands at 20.3 percent in December

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in December last year the consumer price index (CPI) for Turkish industry in general decreased by 0.4 percent month on month, while annual inflation reached 20.3 percent.

Among the main product groups, the highest increases were seen in the food and non-alcohol beverages group, with a rise of 1.08 percent on month-on-month basis, and in the household goods group, up 31.36 percent on year-on-year basis.
