According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in March this year the consumer price index (CPI) for Turkish industry in general increased by 0.57 percent month on month, while annual inflation in Turkey decreased to 11.86 percent from 12.37 percent recorded in February.
Among the main product groups, the highest month-on-month increase was seen in the health sector, with 2.78 percent, while the highest year-on-year increase was registered in alcoholic beverages and tobacco products with 40.19 percent.
