Annual inflation rate in Turkey falls to 10.94 percent in April

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in April this year the consumer price index (CPI) for Turkish industry in general increased by 0.85 percent month on month, while annual inflation in Turkey decreased to 10.94 percent from 11.86 percent recorded in March.

Among the main product groups, the highest month-on-month increase was seen in the various goods and services group, with 4.66 percent, while the highest year-on-year increase was registered in alcoholic beverages and tobacco products with 31.32 percent.
