Anhui’s newly-added proven coal reserves in past five years total 5.7 billion mt

The Department of Land and Resources of China’s Anhui province has stated that the province has witnessed an obvious increase in newly-added proven mineral resource reserves in the past five years.
 
In the given five-year period, 87 large and medium-sized mineral deposits have been discovered in the province. Accordingly, the province’s newly-added proven reserves of coal and iron ore in the given period totaled 5.7 billion mt and 900 million mt respectively. Meanwhile, newly-added proven reserves of copper, lead and zinc, as well as tungsten amounted to 1.09 million mt, 1.86 million mt and 200,000 mt, respectively. The department stated that by 2020 it expects to discover 70-100 mineral deposits, including 10-15 coal deposits.
