Angang raises energy conservation standards

Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Anshan Iron and Steel Group (Angang) announced on February 23 that it has installed the largest flue gas desulfurization unit for sintering machine in China and that it has finished the flue gas desulfurization project for unit 1 in its second power plant and has also finished the flue gas desulfurization project in the north power station in its first power plant.

Anshan Iron and Steel Group also stated that it has achieved high standards in China as regards its comprehensive energy consumption per metric ton of steel and its fresh water consumption per metric ton of steel.
