Alchevsk’s finished steel output down 8.4 percent in Jan-Oct

Ukrainian steelmaker Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works (Alchevsk), a subsidiary of Ukrainian steel producer Industrial Union of Donbass (ISD), has announced that in the January-October period it registered an 8.4 percent decrease in its finished steel product output to 2.824 million mt, while its crude steel output declined by 0.5 percent to 3.136 million mt, both year on year. In addition, in January-October Alchevsk saw a 0.6 percent rise in its pig iron production to 2.861 million mt and a 0.8 percent increase in its agglomerate output to 4.336 million mt, both on year-on-year basis.
