Alchevsk to raise production by 2010

Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works (Alchevsk) - a subsidiary of the Ukrainian steel producer Industrial Union of Donbass (ISD) - is to increase steel production upon the completion of its technical upgrade program by 2010.

According to the company's announcement, by 2010 Alchevsk will have increased its crude steel output to 7.5 million mt, finished steel products' output to 7.2 million mt, and pig iron output to 7.3 million mt.

In addition, as the output of the mill increases, Alchevsk is planning to raise its deliveries to the EU and US.
