Alchevsk to increase steel product output in March

Ukrainian steelmaker Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works (Alchevsk), a subsidiary of Ukrainian steel producer Industrial Union of Donbass (ISD), has announced that in March this year its plans to increase its crude steel production by 23-24 percent compared to February to 405,000-410,000 mt and to raise its production of steel products by 24-26 percent month on month to around 370,000-375,000 mt.
 
In January-February this year, Alchevsk produced 729,000 mt of crude steel, up 16.3 percent compared to the same period of 2012, and 664,000 mt of steel products, up 17.7 percent year on year.
