On Friday, The American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) voiced its support for the US House of Representatives for passing the energy portion of H.R. 7, American Energy and Infrastructure Jobs Act of 2012. The AISI said that the energy provisions of H.R. 7, which will expand access to US' oil and gas resources and devote expected revenues to pay for transportation infrastructure, passed late Thursday by a 237-187 vote.  The legislation also includes a provision to expedite the approval of the Keystone XL pipeline.
