AIIS to host annual steel conference

The American Institute for International Steel (AIIS) will host its Annual Conference in Philadelphia on May 3, 2005, at Sheraton Society Hill. Among the highlights will be a keynote speech by former New Jersey Governor Jim Florio. Florio served as governor from 1990-1994. Topics slated for discussion include the steel market, port security developments, and updates on trade policy as well as customs procedural issues affecting importers and others throughout the steel import logistics chain. Other speakers will include Gary Lagrange, Port Director of New Orleans; Wade Battles, Managing Director, Port of Houston; Dennis Rochford, President, Maritime Exchange for the Delaware River and Bay; and Richard Wainio, Port Director, Tampa Port Authority.
