Mexican integrated steelmaker Altos Hornos de Mexico (AHMSA) said on Thursday it resumed operations at its Power Plant No. 5.

AHMSA invested MXN 50 million to repair boiler No. 2 located at Power Plant No. 5. Equipment located at the company’s No. 2 mill was subsequently halted for two months for maintenance.

AHMSA said it hired about 120 people through MRW Mexicana, Majoma, Interpipe and American Boiler under the supervision of the steelmaker’s own technical team to oversee the project.
