AHMSA performs maintenance at sinter unit

Mexican integrated steelmaker Altos Hornos de Mexico (AHMSA) said it commenced maintenance at its sinter unit.

The company said the maintenance program include repairs, change and rehabilitation of equipment, including the complete repair of a 4,500 horse-power engine and the replacement of a drum mixer.

AHMSA said the maintenance works are taking place over the next 10 days. AHMSA’s own personnel and third-party companies will be involved in the scheduled maintenance works.
