The board of Mexican integrated steelmaker Altos Hornos de Mexico (AHMSA) has named an interim CEO this week, the company said.

In a meeting June 24, the company’s board appointed James Pignatelli as the steelmaker’s interim CEO. Alonso Ancira Elizondo will remain as the president of the company’s board, AHMSA said, while Luis Zamudio will also continue as director general for AHMSA.

AHMSA said its board also updated the company’s operational program and set a new financial plan to strengthen the producer’s financial profile.
