AD review on certain pipes from Germany rescinded

On September 28, 2005, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) initiated an antidumping duty administrative review for small diameter seamless carbon and alloy steel standard, line and pressure pipe imported from Germany for the period August 1, 2004, through July 31, 2005. The review, which was initiated upon the request of United States Steel Corporation, a domestic producer of subject merchandise, covered German producers/exporters Vallourec & Mannesmann Tubes-V&M Deutschland GmbH (VMD), Mannesmann Pipe & Steel Corporation (Mannesmann), Benteler Stahl/Rohr GmbH (Benteler Stahl), and Benteler Steel and Tube Corporation (Benteler Tube). Since the petitioner withdrew its request within 90 days of the initiation of the administrative review, the DOC saw no reason to proceed with the review with respect to these four producers.
