The family-owned company invested $2.5 million to produce galvanized profiles, structural profiles, among other products in the Paraguayan facility.

The 65-year-old company operates in Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay, and has 250-people workforce. AD Barbieri also owns a company called Consul Steel, which specializes in steel framing products.

AD Barbieri exports steel to several South, Central and North American countries, as well as to the Caribbean. The company expects to reach about $80 million in revenues this year.
