SteelOrbis recently reported on the acquisition of Acero Junction in Northeast Ohio by JSW. Sources inform SteelOrbis that the EAF is slated to begin operations between July and September 2018.

The operations teams have reportedly started to develop plans for scrap purchases, and various scrap dealers in the region have been contacted for potential buying relationships. An Ohio scrap dealer noted, “They are looking at a potential opening timeline of 3-5 months from now if all can be aligned properly.”
