6'000 tons HR sheet from Panzhihua Steel to Thailand

After the Indian Ocean Tsunami hit last year, flat products supply in Southeast Asian areas have become extremely, causing prices to rise. Grasping the opportunity, Chinese Panzhihua Steel has strived to explore Southeast Asia market for maximum profit, as a result, the company has totaled exported 6'000 tons of HR sheet with more than 3.0mm thickness to Thailand from the year beginning of 2005. In recent years, Panzhihua Steel invested RMB 7.7 trillion ($930 million) to carry out three phases technical renovation on the HR plant, and its HR productivity has been improved from 1.85 million ton to 2.4 million ton, meanwhile, its product varieties have been increased to more than 40 specs from the former 32.
