1st Q 2005, China galvanized steel import situation

China has totally imported 402'000 tons of galvanized steel sheet in March 2005, down 14.14% year on year, while up 46.18% month on month; meanwhile, galvanized steel sheet export has totaled 109.4 thousand tons, up 1'027.8% year on year and 136.29% month on month. China has experienced obvious increase for galvanized steel sheet import and export in March 2005, and the import quantity has almost approached the highest level, while that of export has been large also. The large galvanized steel import is mainly pushed by hiking price in China domestic market since the year beginning of 2005.
