17.50 million mt of steel capacity to be cut in Jiangsu by end of 2020

China’s Jiangsu Province will eliminate 17.50 million mt of steel capacity by the end of 2020, as announced by Jiangsu provincial government. At the same time, steelmakers in the main urban areas in cities in Jiangsu, including Nanjing, Xuzhou, Changzhou, Huai’an, Zhenjiang and Suqian, will have their operations halted or will be relocated by the end of October, 2020.
