Italian rebar market under pressure

SteelOrbis has learned that the Italy’s domestic rebar market is under pressure due to Italian producers’ reluctance to accept orders. Local producers currently only accept orders for prompt delivery at a price €20/mt higher with respect to the last official prices which were in the range of €95-100/mt ex-mill. Furthermore, the Italian rebar producers are not willing to accept new orders for September deliveries as new prices have yet to be issued.

Ex-CIS slab offers to Vietnam increase

SteelOrbis has heard that ex-Russia slab offers to Vietnam are currently at $405/mt CFR Vietnam, indicating an increase of $15/mt compared to three weeks ago; meanwhile, ex-Ukraine slab offers to Vietnam are currently at $415/mt CFR Vietnam, showing a rise of $35/mt compared to six weeks ago.

Egyptian origin HRC export offers increase

Egyptian mill EZDK has increased its HRC export offers from $580/mt FOB to the level of $600/mt FOB for December shipments.
