Movers and shakers within the US domestic API X-42 electric resistance welded (ERW) line pipe have said the market is holding its line, as many continue to wonder if a trade case filing may lie in their future.  Domestic prices are steady, still at approximately $51.00-$52.00 cwt. ($1,124-$1,146/mt or $1,020-$1,040/nt) ex-Midwest mill, while import offer prices from both Vietnam and Taiwan are rocking steady at $38.50-$39.50 cwt. ($849-$871/mt or $770-$790/nt) DDP loaded truck US Gulf coast ports.  “Everything is pretty much holding its course,” according to one Midwest-based service center, who says most spot market buys are only happening on an as-needed basis.  Demand, while still steady, continues to lack luster.
