US line pipe market still treading water

Prices for both domestic and import API X-52 line pipe continue to trend lateral this week, as distribution center sources have confirmed they continue to hear prices for US API X-52 line pipe at $54-$56 cwt. ($1191-$1235/mt or $1080-$1120/nt), ex-mill.
 
Meanwhile, the most commonly heard price for for US import API-X52 ERW line pipe from Mexico in the US domestic market is still holding at $49.50-$51.50 cwt. ($1091-$1135/mt or $990-$1030/nt), FOB Houston.
 
Lastly, pricing for Korean API X-52 line pipe in the US domestic market is still being heard at $42.50-$44.00 cwt. ($937-$970/mt or $850-$880/nt), DDP loaded truck in US Gulf coast ports.
 
As with last week, SteelOrbis sources say they are uninterested in booking offshore due to forecasted December arrival times. Once arrival times span into January, interest in booking offshore is expected to resume.
