Vietnamese mills are continuing to offer A-53 electric resistance welded (ERW) black plain end (BPE) Grade A standard pipe at price points that are on par with what’s been seen since the beginning of the year.  Current standard pipe offers from this country are still at $39.50-$40.50 cwt. ($871-$893/mt or $790-$810/nt) DDP loaded truck in US Gulf Coast ports, unchanged in the past two weeks.  Trader sources have said that order activity and inquiries are consistent, but not worth “writing home” about, and that US buyers are buying what they need, when they need it.

Meanwhile, spot prices for US domestic A-53 electric resistance welded (ERW) black plain end (BPE) Grade A standard pipe are also unchanged in the past two weeks, and the most commonly reported range has remained at $45.00-$46.00 cwt. ($992-$1,014/mt or $900-$920/nt) ex-Midwest mill.  Service center sources have said that this range still has some flexibility, and those who are interested in booking larger orders could likely negotiate deals.
