Little, if anything has changed within the US import API X-52 ERW line pipe market since our last report a week ago.

Prices for US import API-X52 ERW line pipe from Mexico in the US domestic market continue to trend at $45.50-$46.50 cwt. ($1003-$1025/mt or $910-$930/nt), FOB Houston.

The most recent data from the US Department of Commerce shows that for the month of July, the US imported 18,158 mt (license data) of line pipe from Mexico.  This is a marked increase from July 2016, when the US imported 3,714 mt (census data) of line pipe from Mexico.
