US import line pipe market resumes lateral trend

Pricing for US import API-X52 ERW line pipe from Mexico continue to hold at $45.50-$46.50 cwt. ($1003-$1025/mt or $910-$930/nt), FOB Houston for November arrival; this price point is unchanged in the past seven days.  In contrast, in early July, prices for US import API-X52 ERW line pipe from Mexico were being heard at $4.00 cwt. ($88/mt or $80/nt) above the current range.

Domestic prices continue to be heard at $54-$56 cwt. ($1191-$1235/mt or $1080-$1120/nt), ex-mill. Sources close to SteelOrbis continue to report that import and domestic buying activity continue to trend light.
