Maruichi Leavitt Pipe and Tube, Bull Moose Tube, Independence Tube Corporation and Atlas Tube today announced they would be raising prices on all new HSS orders by $3.00 cwt. ($66/mt or $60/nt), effective immediately. The price increase is attributed to continued increases in hot rolled coil prices.
Last week, SteelOrbis reported that
US HSS spot market prices were trending at $46-$48 cwt. ($1014-$1058/mt or $940-$960/nt), ex-mill.
If the current price increase is accepted,
US HSS spot market prices will likely trend at $49-$51 cwt. ($1080-$1124/mt or $980-$1020/nt), ex-mill.
