US domestic standard pipe stays standard

Pricing within the domestic and import A-53 ERW black plain end (BPE) standard pipe markets have held “mostly steady” in the last two weeks, with US domestic prices still ranging between $42.50-$43.50 cwt. ($937-$959/mt or $850-$870/nt), ex-Midwest mill. Import offer prices from Korea, Turkey and Vietnam have also remained relatively consistent at approximately $33.00-$35.00 cwt. ($728-$772/mt or $660-$700/nt) DDP loaded truck US Gulf Coast ports. But, as with previous weeks, SteelOrbis sources continue to report that “tons talk” and anyone who wants to bring a larger order to the table “can easily do better.”
