Spot prices within the US domestic and import Grade A ERW BPE standard pipe are unchanged in the past two weeks, as traders, service centers and distribution centers all report lackluster order activity.

US domestic spot pricing continues to trend approximately $42.50-$43.50 cwt. ($937-$959/mt or $850-$870/nt), ex-Midwest mill, while futures prices from Vietnamese and Turkish producers have also remained lateral in the approximate range of 29.00-$30.00 cwt. ($639-$662/mt or $580-$600/nt), DDP loaded truck in US Gulf coast ports.  As with our last report, SteelOrbis sources report that order activity remains sluggish, as is typical in terms of end-of-year activity.  “It’s just slow across the board right now and standard pipe isn’t any different,” sources said.
