Sources close to SteelOrbis have confirmed that orders, inquiries and activity within the US domestic A-53 ERW BPE Grade A standard pipe markets are uninteresting, at best.  US domestic spot prices have held at approximately $42.50-$43.50 cwt. ($937-$959/mt or $850-$870/nt), ex-Midwest mill, although deals below that range may be available to customers looking to book larger-sized orders.  As with our last report two weeks ago, distribution center sources have confirmed they are selling A-53 ERW BPE Grade A standard pipe slightly below replacement cost.

In terms of futures offers, those have also trended sideways in the past two weeks.  Futures prices from Turkish and Vietnamese mills continue to hold in the approximate range of $29.00-$30.00 cwt. ($639-$662/mt or $580-$600/nt), DDP loaded truck in US Gulf coast ports.  Interest in booking futures, however, remains light.
