It’s another round of same story, different day within the US domestic API-X42 line pipe market, as lead times remain short and production levels still outpacing demand.   The most commonly reported spot price transaction rage, has held steady in the past seven days, still at $51.00-$52.00 cwt. ($1,124-$1,146/mt or $1,020-$1,040/nt) ex-Midwest mill, although sources close to SteelOrbis say they are aware of deals up to $2.00 cwt. ($44/mt or $40/nt) below that range for buyers who are looking to book significant tons.

Offshore offer prices from Taiwan and Vietnam are also unchanged since our last report a week ago, with the most commonly reported range still trending at approximately $38.50-$39.50 cwt. ($849-$871/mt or $770-$790/nt) DDP loaded truck US Gulf coast ports.  At the same time, trader sources point out that there are in fact deals to be had, but only for those interested in bringing a sizable order to the negotiating table.
