Buying activity in the German seamless pipe market has been slow over the past month. German producers have not revised their domestic and export prices in the given period despite the poor demand from all sales markets. Import prices of Chinese and Romanian material in the German market have decreased by a maximum of €10/mt ($13/mt) over the given period, while prices of Ukrainian material have moved down by €5-20/mt ($27-46/mt). Italian suppliers have left their offers for Germany unchanged. The situation in the German seamless pipe market is expected to remain generally unchanged in the coming period. Market players believe buying activity is unlikely to increase this year, preventing suppliers from raising their prices.
