Czech suppliers of seamless pipes have failed to push through price increases amid subdued market conditions. Demand from local buyers remains slack due to the difficult economic situation, while foreign buyers are also cautious about concluding purchases in view of pessimistic sentiments and tough global market conditions. Over the past month, export offers of Czech seamless pipes have remained mostly unchanged amid sluggish trading, though declining by a maximum of €10/mt ($4-5/mt) in some cases. Market insiders believe the situation in the seamless
pipe segment in the Czech Republic is unlikely to improve soon. Czech suppliers may try to keep their seamless
pipe prices stable until buying activity resumes.
