The Spanish seamless pipe market is still subdued due to poor demand amid the very difficult economic situation and the holiday season. Domestic and export quotations of Spanish seamless pipes have remained stable over the past month. Meanwhile, prices offered from China have decreased by €20-40/mt ($25-50/mt) over the past month, while quotations of Ukrainian material have declined by a maximum of €10/mt ($12/mt). At the same time, import prices for Italian seamless pipes have moved down by a maximum of €20/mt ($25/mt) over the period under review. Citing the anticipated growth of raw materials costs, seamless pipe suppliers intend to increase prices in September. Meanwhile, the economic circumstances in Spain are still too bad to allow any significant price growth.
