Conditions in the Saudi Arabian seamless pipe market remain unfavorable because of weak end-user demand, while the situation has been aggravated by political tensions in the region. Ukrainian and South African suppliers have cut their seamless pipe offers for Saudi Arabia by a maximum of $10/mt over the past month, while quotations of Japanese pipes have decreased by $20-30/mt during the same period. Import offers of Chinese materials have mostly stayed in the previous range. Saudi buyers prefer to adopt a wait-and-see attitude, striving to appraise further market developments more carefully.

Most offers of Chinese seamless pipes of 2"-6" grade B made to ASTM are being given to the Saudi Arabian market at $600-650/mt CFR.

Quotations of Ukrainian seamless pipes (Interpipe) of 2"-6" grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L to Saudi Arabia are at $900-920/mt CFR, while 8"-10" pipes are offered at around $930-950/mt CFR.

South African seamless pipes (ArcelorMittal), 2"-6" grade B made to ASTM A106, are quoted at around $950-1,000/mt CFR Saudi Arabia.

Quotations from Japan (NSSMC) for seamless pipes of 2"-6" grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L are at about $1,250-1,300/mt CFR Saudi Arabia.
