A gradual revival of activity has begun in the Saudi Arabian seamless pipe market after the summer slowdown. Over the past month, Ukrainian suppliers have raised their offers for Saudi buyers by $35-40/mt, while import quotations of South African seamless pipes have increased by $50-60/mt. Over the same period, offers of Japanese material have remained unchanged, while offers of Chinese seamless pipes to Saudi Arabia have declined by about $10-20/mt. Demand in the Saudi seamless pipe market will likely continue to recover on the back of the fast growing oil, real estate and construction industries, supported by a number of investment projects.

Most offers of Chinese seamless pipes of 2"-6" grade B made to ASTM are being given to the Saudi Arabian market at $680-720/mt CFR.

Quotations of Ukrainian seamless pipes (Interpipe) of 2"-6" grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L to Saudi Arabia are at $1,040-1,070/mt CFR, while 8"-10" pipes are offered at around $1,055-1,090/mt CFR.

South African seamless pipes (ArcelorMittal), 2"-6" grade B made to ASTM A106, are quoted at around $1,030-1,060/mt CFR Saudi Arabia.

Quotations from Japan (NSSMC) for seamless pipes of 2"-6" grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L are at about $1,400-1,430/mt CFR Saudi Arabia.
